SATTB Tournament Registration Requirements

Requirements and procedures for registering players and teams in SATTB sanctioned tournaments.

South African Table Tennis Board tournaments require proper registration:

**Player Registration:**
- All players must be registered with SATTB
- Valid SATTB membership required for ranking events
- Registration must be renewed annually
- Proof of registration may be required at tournaments

**Registration Categories:**
1. **Junior Players (Under 18):**
- Birth certificate or ID required
- Parental consent for under 16
- School affiliation if representing school

2. **Senior Players (18 and over):**
- Valid South African ID or passport
- Provincial affiliation declaration
- Club membership verification

3. **Provincial Players:**
- Must declare provincial affiliation
- Can only represent one province per season
- Transfer requests must be submitted in advance

**Tournament Entry:**
- Entry forms must be submitted by deadline
- Entry fees must be paid in advance
- Late entries may be subject to additional fees
- Withdrawals after deadline may forfeit fees

**Required Documentation:**
- Valid SATTB membership card
- Photo identification
- Proof of age for age-group events
- Medical certificate if required for event

**Team Events:**
- Team captain must register all players
- Substitute players must be declared before event
- Players can only represent one team per competition

**International Events:**
- Additional ITTF requirements may apply
- Passport and visa requirements
- National team selection criteria
- ITTF ranking points allocation

**Penalties for Non-Compliance:**
- Disqualification from event
- Suspension from SATTB events
- Forfeiture of ranking points
- Financial penalties
